Ohm Spa

Every woman loves to be pampered.....yes, we do! When I moved to New York I knew that one of my first priorities had to be to find my place of pamper. I wanted to find a place that had reasonable prices, a good atmosphere and most of all good customer service. It didn't take me long to find Ohm Spa. A simple internet search and I was headed to the spa.

Now, I like to find places, whether it be a restaurant, a bar, a salon, doesn't matter, that I can go to and it be a consistent experience. When I first wet to Ohm Spa, I was pleasantly greeted the moment I walked in the door. A smile on the receptionist's face and hellos from everyone who stepped in the foyer. When you enter Ohm there is an aroma of relaxation. It smells clean and inviting. A staff member took my coat and showed me a locker room to put my stuff in. They are VERY adamant about no noise in the spa so that means NO cell phones, which I personally love. I was then taken into what I like to call the "Heaven Room". This room has no artificial lighting and is full of scented candles and plush seating. I had to fill out some paperwork indicating which services I wanted done that day and then it was on to reading a magazine. There was a table in front of me that was adorned with crackers, cookies, and fruit and soon someone came in to ask me if I'd like something to drink. Cranberry juice, lemon and raspberry water, and tea were my options. After waiting a short period of time I met my manicurist/pedicurist/brow waxer, Ava. She was so friendly and very talkative. I like this because I hate going to a spa where I feel like people are servicing me. Ava, brought me into the spa room which was spacious and bright and I only accompanied one other woman. This was awesome because there were no distractions.

I immediately noticed a movie playing on the plasma televisions surrounding the room. It was a movie I had wanted to see. Within minutes a gentleman walked in and asked how everything was going. I said great and he looked up to the televisions where he asked me if I would like to start the movie from the beginning. Wow, was i impressed. I later found out this gentleman owns Ohm Spa. I was incredibly relaxed, it was as if I had been coming there for years!

Although Ava had completed my man/pedi/wax, I was told to sit in the massage chair and enjoy the rest of the movie where I laughed and talked with the staff. My experience was impeccable and Ohm Spa is the place I go to for any pampering needs. Now when I walk in I know the owners by name and they know me as well. They remember things like what my husband does and where my family is from. You can't get personalized service like this unless you pay a fortune and even then it's like pulling teeth!

Ohm specializes in many services and they have a large selection of services and products from massage therapy to signature facials. This place is perfect for bridal showers as well. If you are looking for heavy duty pampering, with sincere attitude, Ohm is the mecca.
