Something Wicca This Way Comes

Who hasn’t wished they could flick a wand and levitate objects, talk to animals or even disappear under a cloak like Harry Potter aka The Boy Who Lived? Wouldn’t it be fun to be cast magical spells or to read up about ancient religions from centuries ago? Perhaps even meet other like-minded individuals who also wish for a flying broomstick of their very own.

Until your acceptance letter arrives from Hogsworth, why settle for being a mere muggle when, with the flick of your Metrocard, you can be whisked to Enchantments.

Established in 1982, Enchantments, Inc. is New York’s oldest witchcraft/new age supply store. A haven for Wicca practitioners to High Priestesses to anybody interested in new age or the old religion. A favorite among many to stock up on herbs, oils, talismans, candles and over 2,000 books on everything from Astral Projection to Tarot to Psychic Self Defense plus much more.

Not only a new age shop, Enchantments also offers classes in Basic Wicca, Tarot and Astrology. Many classes take place in there beautiful garden located in back of the shop. They also host events throughout the year such as celebration of seasonal Sabbaths.

Don’t expect to find any black magic or evil going happenings in the store. Enchantments follows an ancient decree: "Do What Ye Will and It Harm None" which roughly translated means they don’t hurt people.

The staff is very knowledgeable and willing to answer questions.

While the fate of the Chosen One lies in the balance (at least until Deathly Hollows is released) feel free to stop by, peruse the racks or trade ideas with the storeowner the way housewives would trade favorite recipes.
