Middle Eastern Flair comes Alive at the Samah Lounge
If you love the ambience that comes along with Middle Eastern culture, you may love both the decor and the food at Samah Lounge in North Chicago. Located a half mile or so east of Wrigley Field, the Samah Lounge is carefully tucked away. However there is so much beauty to be beheld in this establishment, and everyone is friendly and knowledgeable about the food.
There aren't any chairs in the seating areas here, there are couches, pillows, and beautiful ornate rugs that don the floors at Samah, inviting you to come lie down and possibly even nap after a hearty meal. The food is exquisitely original and true to the culture; my personal favorite was the Baba Ghanouj and my favorite entree there is the kifta kabob, roast lamb, rice and Lebanese bread. For those that would enjoy it, there are also hookahs and various types of tobacco (clean burning) to choose from, and it adds even more authenticity to the atmosphere.
This is definitely a place to visit, if not for the food, for the beautiful and enchanting atmosphere. Drivers beware, there is very little parking in this area, so public transit will be your best bet (The CTA Red Line is not far away).

If you're looking for a great, romantic date spot - this is your place. Chakra is a hot new Indian restaurant in Beverly Hills and definitely one you should check out. The food is delicious and very inventive. There are various modern takes on Indian food that blend flavors of the east and west fabulously.
