Bootie, Bootie, Booties Rockin’ Everywhere!
I must be in a Shoe kick this week, because I can’t get enough of Fall’s hottest trends for fab feet. One that’s been creeping up on us for awhile is finally sinking in for me– the Bootie. In a rainbow of colors and style that’ll make you drool, here are my top picks for the most bangin’ booties around:
The Chap by Steve Madden
(149.95) Maybe it’s the staggering heel, or the platform, or the old-fashioned design that somehow oozes with sex appeal. Either way, The Chap from Steve Madden is one of the most unique booties this season and comes in a variety of colors in both suede and patent leather. Might encourage spontaneous tap dancing and sexy slap stick.
Sandy Ankle Boots by Isaac Mizrahi for Target
($36.99) If you have an inner biker babe, she’ll come roaring out when you pull on these ankle boots from Isaac Mizrahi for Target. In black, winter white or oxblood, these are a sexy counterpart to any of your fall favorites. Like always, Mizrahi style can come with a painless pricetag at Target!
Cortazara by Aldo
($130) Aldo takes a more classic route with this attractive suede ankle boot in taupe or black. The shorter heel and no platform on Cortazara. give it a vintage look, and these beauties can easily be paired with jeans or tights to whip up outfits both office chic and Lower East Side sexy!

Temperley for Target
Americans have been particularly enamored with British fashion in the past couple of years. We all tried to emulate Sienna Miller’s fresh styling (circa Jude Law, not this week’s floral wreath,) then there were near stampedes when Barney’s released Kate Moss’ line for Top Shop. This week the latest British invader has arrived and she’s all about the bargains!
Alice Temperley is the latest (and possibly most anticipated) celebrity designer for Target’s GO International collection. For those unfamiliar with her high-end label, Temperley London is known amongst the British fashion elite for it’s ultra-feminine, Victorian inspired, modern and tailored pieces. It girls everywhere are scooping up her highly detailed party dresses. The GO International collection stays true to her labels foundation, featuring romantic ruffles and bows, modern knit sweater dresses and wonderful slim fitting button downs.
The palette is mostly deep navy, black, white with a few touches of hot pink thrown in for accents. As with all GO International collections, the best part is the affordability, with most pieces priced under fifty dollars.
As the commercials warn, these designs are in stores for a limited time only. Experience from previous GO International lines proves that these clothes fly off the shelves fast – this is one good deal you won’t want to miss!

Libertine for Target GO International Launches July 15th
On July 15th, Target launches its newest GO International collection. This season it's American design team Libertine whose versions of their runway looks will available for much, much less at the chain store. Started in September 2001, Libertine is made up of Los Angeles based designer Johnson Hartig and New York based designer Cindy Greene. To create their runway looks, Hartig finds vintage pieces, which he re-cuts and sends to Greene, who silk-screens images of birds, skulls, and other whimsical items onto the clothing.
Joining past designers Behnaz Sarafpour, Luella Bartley, and most recently Patrick Robinson, Libertine’s Target line consists of twenty-two looks, highlighting their preppy-fun, vintage-inspired style. Some of the pieces are perfect for summer, like the khaki Bermuda shorts with bats flying up the leg, pleated skirt, and navy slip dress trimmed in black lace, while others are great to take you into fall, throw on the pink argyle sweater vest printed with green skulls over their polo shirt or toss on the blue trench coat and matching blue bucket hat when it rains.
The looks are only available for ninety days and prices range from $12.99 to $39.99. Considering that Proenza Schouler’s famous silk bustier tops sold out as soon as they hit Target stores, don’t wait until the last day to buy clothing from this popular design house, worn by celebrities like Mick Jagger, Gwyneth Paltrow, and Liv Tyler.
