Friends. Romans. Countrymen. Lend me your ears! Tucked away on a side street in Midtown, Drama Book Shop is home to the gonna-be, wannabe and already actors, students, film buffs and anyone with an interest in theaters and movies.
If you’re looking for the newest Dean Koontz and Harry Potter books you’re fresh out of luck but peruse the shelves and you’ll end up hundreds of screenplays, scripts on popular plays and anything Shakespearean. Great if you’re taking a theater class or just want to know what the heck what’s his name said in that really good movie that just came out.
The prices can be high on some items but if you’re interested in pursuing an acting career Drama Shop carries all the newest theater and movie magazines plus they can poke you in the right direction regarding looking for auditions. The staff is also well knowledge in all things theater. Get on their mailing list so you can learn about the newest items coming into the store as well as events and book signings.
One of the few book shops that carries everything related to the theaters and arts. A great place to read up on history of theater and acting.

The San Francisco Improv Festival 2007
The San Francisco Improv Festival returns for its fourth year with a full lineup of improvisational comedy including special celebrity guests Emo Phillips and MadTV's Ike Barinholtz. A Funny Thing Happened On the Way to the Forum
Pseudolus is the laziest slave in Rome and has but one wish, to purchase his freedom. When his master and mistress leave for the day he finds out that the young master has fallen in love with a virgin in the house of Lycus, a slave dealer specializing in beautiful women. Pseudolus concocts a deal in which he will be freed if he can procure the girl for young Hero.
