More Than You Can Imagine
Located in the exact spot of a Houston boutique who's long relocated, More Than You Can Imagine will leave you wondering why you ever shopped retail to begin with. Looking for the latest jeans? They've got them. What the the shoes that are sitting in the window of Luca Luca as we speak? Yep, they've got those as well. From fun birthday cards to the latest trends, this boutique has it all.
Oh, and did we mention this is a resale shop?
Owner Vicki Rizzo and her staff are always on their toes when it comes to accomadating clients needs. You'll feel like you're on Rodeo Drive by the time you walk out of this store. From wine and cheeses to personal styling and phone calls when something in your size pops up, the shop brings a whole new meaning to resale shopping. With current pieces and an impeccably edited selection, you can be sure you'll want to pop into this store time and time again. They have denim galore and an amazing selection of accessories. Rizzo's discerning eye only leaves room for the best, so expect quality merchandise in pristine condition or else it won't even make it through the front door! If you're looking to sell, the shop splits 50/50 of the profit with you...nearly unheard of in the world of consignment shopping.
Our favorite part? Unlike most resale stores (yes, even the swanky ones), you won't be stuck digging through piles of junk. From True Religion jeans to Louis Vuitton bags and the occassional pair of Manolos, More Than You Can Imagine is exactly that. And more!

SHOP ZOE ONLINE.com
When Zoë first opened its doors in 1995, it was a different place entirely. It packed all its style into a mere 600 square-feet and sold only women’s clothing. Since then, Zoë has not only added shoes and men’s apparel to its inventory, but it has also acquired more space. A couple of big moves (across the street in 1998 and across the other street in 2004) and one expansion last fall makes the shop nearly ten times its original size! And, it just keeps growing—its 3,500 square-feet sister store opened in the DUMBO neighborhood of Brooklyn, New York in November 2006.
With its swelling space and repertoire, Zoë has become Princeton’s very own style landmark, and is quickly becoming Brooklyn’s too. The woman who made it all possible is owner Lisa Brock, a graduate of Fashion Institute of Technology. For the past decade, Brock has combined her design expertise and business instincts to transport high fashion to what used to be the unfashionable “burbs.” Her finger always on the pulse, Brock attends shows in Paris, Milan, New York, and Los Angeles regularly to keep only the freshest looks hanging from Zoë’s racks.
What sets Zoë apart from its look-a-likes is the uniquely mixed collection of designers, ranging from Zac Posen to 3.1 Phillip Lim, Matthew Williamson to Mayle, and Stella McCartney to Marc by Marc Jacobs. Even more distinguishing is its customer. Unlike the typical high-end boutique that services women in their 20s and 30s, Zoë’s customer is anyone from the precocious teen to the groovy matriarch. It isn’t clear which came first—does Zoë carry this diverse label load to accommodate its varied patrons? Or are Zoë’s patrons varied because the store’s selection is so wide and deep? Either way, it’s a working marriage.

Opaques, colors, and patterns! Oh my!
We know it isn't quite time for summer to wind down, but we're so anxious for fall. The crisp weather, the new color palettes...can you really blame us for thinking about our arsenal of cool weather looks so early in the game?
This season, it's all about color and texture and what better (and inexpensive) way to hit those trends than with tights. Already seen on the gaggle of starlets that seem to dictate our trends, tights were all over the F/W 2007 runway as well. From Marc Jacobs to Doo.Ri to Pringle, tights can be used as a great finish to a simple look. Think of them as the easy answer to looking extra-polished and pulled together. While some argue tights are hard to wear, we beg to differ. Here, we offer the rundown on wearing your tights:
- Blackout. Opaque black is always a great option. Perfect to have on hand for a job interview or funeral (hey, it happens), they can also be worn with a metallic dress for a night on the town or with a long chunky knit sweater and tall boots. Mix unexpected colors with black tights to keep from looking boring. This fall is all about jewel tones, so try magenta or teal. Don't reserve black tights for fancy events either: channel Audrey Hepburn by wearing them with a simple shift dress and plain flats for casual outings.
-Bright is right. We know it's a little kooky, but no one looks more fierce than the girl wearing bright tights as if they're basic suntan. This is ideal when sprucing up that infamous LBD that fits so well. Again, keep the colors new, by pairing your little black dress with colored tights like cobalt, royal purple and poppy. A round toe shoe finishes the look in a smart, trendy demeanor and leaves plenty of room to accessorize because the look is so chic and simple (but hardly boring).

Pantone Fall Fashion Color Report 2007
I know, I know. You’re thinking, “But, we’re not even halfway through summer and you’re talking about fall?” Here’s the thing: I saw a commercial on TV the other day for Macy’s and the sole focus of the advertisement was the release of fall styles in their stores. It may be July ladies, but you gotta think ahead!
Pantone (www.pantone.com) recently released their 2007 fall fashion color predictions. It’ll be interesting to see how many of these colors make it off the runway into reality and mainstream stores. According to the color gurus, “complex and exotic describe the intriguingly unusual and inviting color palette for fall ‘07. The traditional neutral shades expected for autumn have been replaced this season with rich, nuanced hues, offering more opportunity for creativity with interesting and unexpected color combinations.”
Colors include shades like, “Spicy Chili Pepper,” “Lemon Curry,” “Purple Wine,” “Dusk,” “Earthy Burnt Ochre,” and my favorite, “Stargazer.” One thing is for certain, with names this sensual, you know the color palette can’t be boring! These bold hues will spice up any fall wardrobe, and stand out in stark contrast to the usual black and brown.
For detailed information and illustrations of these colors and more, you can visit the Pantone website and download their color report for 2007 Fall Fashion. The direct link to the PDF is below.

American Apparel Sheer Jersey Heart T
From your favorite affordable, labor-friendly brand comes this darling little blouse with thousands of possibilities. The American Apparel Sheer Jersey Heart T is the perfect way to switch up that boring ol' tank or t-shirt. Impossibly easy to wear, it fits a ton of occasions from outings with the girls to a Saturday morning in the market. We love it with a black pencil skirt and pumps to an interview, or with wide leg trousers and flats for a matinee. It's hard to go wrong with this top. Currently available in black/black and black/white (and who can resist the black/white?), it will soon be available in forest/lapis and red/raspberry making it a multiple in our closet.
Only thing with American Apparel, is we suggest trying on in stores. If you don't live near an Am Ap, feel free to order online and send back, as their customer service is generally good and they can exchange sizes for you. Things tend run across the board in our experience, so if there's a location near you, pop in and give the Heart T a go. But don't blame us...you may just end up walking out with a lot more.
