Simply Vera: Simply Chic

I know that there have been a couple of blogs about Vera Wang’s collection of chic, designer goods for less at Kohls, but I was just so pleased with the collection that I have to write about it myself!
I needed something business casual but very sophisticated for a job interview. Thankfully, the Simply Vera collection had just opened at Kohls, the same week I was looking. The best part was, that not only did I have an array of cute, well made, fantastic clothes, but Kohls was already having a 30% off sale!
I was able to purchase the very pretty pleated skirt with well hidden pockets in black ( and I bought the one in gray too!) For only $43.99 each.
The other great thing about Simply Vera is that the clothes are made with wonderful fabrics that will last. The other thing that I loved about this collection was that the sizing was great. I thought that because it was designer, the sizes were going to be a bit smaller. I was very pleased.
Starting in October, Simply Vera is debuting more items for fall. I can’t wait. Until then, I will be stocking up on the business yet sexy for Friday night tops and jeans which are a mere fifty bucks.
Simply Vera has gloves, tights, lingerie, shoes, jewelry, and handbags in addition to the clothes. I have been telling all my friends to get to Kohls. Actually...I think I’ll pop in there too.

Simply Vera Vera Wang Is Here!

Glimpses of Vera Wang's collection for Kohl’s department stores have been appearing on all of the blogs for awhile amidst rumors that it was going to actually be just as fashionable as it is affordable. With the recent debut of Simply Vera Vera Wang's flowing lines, feminine cuts and luscious fabrics, it seems as if she won't disappoint.

Wang's collection includes apparel, accessories, shoes, intimates, jewelry and even items for your home! Just browsing through it all, will make you ready for fall and wanting to wrap up in the chic head-to-toe looks.

Every look mixes trends with classics – perfect for building a timeless wardrobe around Wang’s dresses, silky tops, pleated skirts or basic but sleek jeans. Try the silky Self Belt Top top ($48) in Aegean, Black and Raisin for a look for the office or the clubs.

There's a variety of knit hats, scarves and leather gloves along with some sleek coats. The Cable-Knit Button Hat ($38) in Indigo and Oatmeal mixes casual fabric with a dressy design, delivering an outfit accent for any occasion! Pair it with the Long Textured Coat ($128) in Black or Ash.

The Look for Less: Vera Wang does Department Store Chic

Great news: another fabulous designer has gone mainstream!

Vera Wang’s deal with Kohl’s Department Stores has been in the works since 2005, and next month, finally, we’re going to reap the rewards. The Kohl’s line, called Simply Vera, will debut on September 9th, 2007. Rest assured that the line will feature all of Vera’s signature feminine touches: tulle, roses, and ruching.

This line makes designer style affordable; Vera Wang is the latest in a surge of celebrities/designers to launch their “couture” designs to the masses. Most famously known for her bridal designs, over the years Vera Wang has expanded into fragrance, jewelry, eyeware, and shoe collections.

From what I’ve seen, the Simply Vera line for Kohl's looks like it has some edge to it, which I totally dig. From the pictures the clothes seem completely feminine and a little whimsical. The fall collection will feature dark neutrals with purple tones (purple is hot this fall season) as well as gold and white accents.

Kohl’s is also launching a Simply Vera website through its own website (www.kohls.com), to show shoppers how to build outfits from separate pieces in the collection.
